The Vein

 The Vein is the chilling story of disappearances in a small mining town. The combination of mystery, supernatural and the small town setting gives folk horror vibes. These factors made it extremely intriguing and had me turning pages quickly.  While the suspense is high, the writing is lyrical, making for a mesmerizing read.
