A Conjuring For All Seasons

A Conjuring For All Seasons is a wonderful anthology of witch positive horror stories. I won this book in a giveaway one of the authors, KP Kulski, recently had in her 7 book giveaway and it was the first book from my package of goodies that I read.

I have a weakness for supernatural horror and for strong female leads so I gobbled this anthology up quickly. Each story explores different types of horror. Hailey Piper's "Magic Loves the Hungry" is a dark fantasy about a Wiccan initiation ritual. Stephanie Wyotovich touches on the horrors of a family dynamic and generational trauma in "Drawing Down the Sun."  In "Milk Kin" KP Kulski explores themes of motherhood and birth. While they are all very well written, my personal favorite was Gaby Triana's lost night where a conflict between pagan Yuletide and the "christian" Christmas escalate at a winter party.

I really loved this anthology!! It is the rare case where I loved every story I read the entire anthology.  I would love to see more anthologies like this one where the horror is what happens to women who consider themselves witches.

I am also posting a modified version this review on Goodreads.
